Born and raised in Southeast Alaska, Willow Whitton has been designing and creating knitwear for almost a decade. Her knits are inspired by an appreciation of both fashion and function. She strives to make soft, beautiful, wearable pieces that are unique and special to each person wearing them. Each piece is individually handmade, hand woven, hand sewn, and/or hand tagged which is both an incredibly slow AND incredibly fulfilling process. While Willow’s two wild children are keeping her busy, she typically will have yarn and needle in hand… at all times.
As much as possible, Willow sources materials from small and sustainable yarn companies, primarily using fine hand-dyed merino wool. She believes that using high quality and durable material helps to consistently make a better final product.
WW Knits are all “small batch” making each season’s knits unique and ever adapting. With a full range of winter knitwear from hats, headbands, scarves and cowls, there is a perfect piece to keep everyone warm and toasty!
